Abstract

It was important to undertake this research because of the current situation of the Pandemic by Covid 19 that forced the whole world to opt in full for a virtual education, which generated some interesting variables to study and research to know the particularity of them in the learning process of the students. The subject of this article was called; virtual education and the learning process in the students of the Faculty of Social Work of the Laica Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí, 2020. The research carried out was quantitative in nature where only numerical data were obtained, the survey technique applied to the selected population was used, which were 663 students from the Faculty of Social Work of the Laica Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí but as a sample 400 of them were considered. The findings were very relevant because students mentioned that face-to-face classes if they have some degree of variability relative to virtual ones due to participation and interaction as a key element in learning, but that despite that they have gained knowledge through the teachings of teachers. The argument in this article regarding the co-responsibility and predisposition of students and teachers in the academic training process for quality education was reached. Teachers were recommended to implement new teaching methodologies to generate participatory spaces and quality education in students.
