Given this reality, it is essential to explore preventive strategies such as art, which can help reduce drug use among adolescents. This study analyzes the influence of art in preventing substance use among young people in Manta, Manabí, during 2023. A qualitative approach with a hermeneutic and ethnographic design was used, employing the inductive method. The sample included 40 adolescents with a history of substance use and 4 professionals in drug prevention, who participated in interviews and audiovisual recordings. The results show that artistic activities promoted by the Municipality of Manta, such as muralism, beach cinema, theater, and music, contribute to raising awareness and preventing drug use. Additionally, contemporary aesthetic trends improve young people's quality of life by fostering self-expression and empowerment. However, a lack of resources limits the reach of these initiatives. Therefore, art is confirmed as an effective tool for preventing substance use, highlighting the importance of integrating it into the school curriculum and the community. Likewise, it is recommended to strengthen artistic programs, create safe spaces for creative expression, and establish partnerships with cultural organizations. To ensure sustainability and impact, expanding government support and resources for these initiatives is crucial.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. Based on the need to innovate teaching practices to address complex and abstract contents, two groups of 17 students each were formed: the first, immersed in an FC experience that requires autonomous review of theoretical contents outside the classroom; the second one was part of the conventional master class. To characterize the perception of the methodologies applied and their influence on academic performance, a 20-item Likert-type instrument was designed, validated by experts and with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.93, which made it possible to quantify the affinity of each methodology with active teaching practices. The dependent variable was the final semester grade in Linear Algebra, and the independent variable was the type of methodology applied. After verifying the non-normality of the data (Shapiro-Wilk p = 0.072), the Mann-Whitney U test was used (U = 36.5; Z = -3.721; p < .001), revealing significant differences: the IA group achieved a mean of 8.25 (SD = 0.47) versus 7.25 (SD = 0.68) for the traditional group. They face multiple physical, psychological and emotional needs. The main objective is to determine cooperation through participation and collaboration and its impact on responsibility towards older adults who do not have children in the private gerontológical centers of the Manta canton 2023-24. The methodology used was a mixed approach, integrating quantitative and qualitative techniques for a comprehensive understanding. This study used semi-structured interviews, as well as structured surveys of family members and caregivers, which allow measuring patterns and levels of cooperation. This methodological approach not only sought to describe current practices, but also to propose alternatives that promote a culture of responsibility. The research results reveal that the majority of older adults rely heavily on informal support networks, mainly from friends and distant relatives, which highlights the lack of a structured social responsibility system. It was observed that only 30% of those surveyed reported receiving regular support from close family members, while 50% expressed feeling isolated and neglected. Furthermore, the semi-structured interviews reflected a widespread perception of abandonment and vulnerability, with 70% of participants expressing the need for greater community participation. These findings underline the urgent need to establish policies that strengthen cooperation and responsibility, promoting their participation in local development.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. Through a historical, stylistic, and ethnographic review, it argues that the amorfino incorporates structured musical elements—such as meter, rhythm, instrumental accompaniment, and vocal improvisation—that grant it aesthetic and functional autonomy within the Ecuadorian musical landscape. The article explores the various dimensions of the amorfino from its earliest expressions in the 19th century, tracing its roots in Afro-Ecuadorian and montuvio oral traditions, its development throughout the 20th century with key contributions by figures like Manuel de Jesús Álvarez and Guido Garay, and its ongoing transformation in contemporary urban contexts of the 21st century, where it merges with tropical Latin genres. The study also considers its territorial diversity and poly-stylistic nature, showing how in each region the amorfino adopts distinct forms and sounds while maintaining its expressive core and historical features, especially its rhythmic cell and octosyllabic literary structure. Finally, the article highlights its social function as a tool for protest, satire, celebration, and the construction of collective identity. Recognizing the amorfino as a musical genre opens new pathways for research in Ecuadorian cultural and musical studies, reclaiming a living practice that is in constant reinvention and deeply embedded in the country’s sociocultural dynamics.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. To address this pervasive issue, it is imperative to critically examine and challenge the patriarchal frameworks that underpin the normalization of gender-based violence in this demographic. This necessitates the promotion of gender equality, the cultivation of values-based education, and the advocacy of non-violence. Furthermore, it requires the establishment of secure spaces where university students can critically appraise traditional gender norms and reconstruct more equitable and salubrious interpersonal relationships. The overarching objective of this research is to investigate and raise societal awareness concerning this critical issue. The objective was to analyze and compare these perceptions in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the National University of Chimborazo. A mixed methodology was used, both qualitative and quantitative; it was non-experimental, cross-sectional, and comparative, of a descriptive nature. A total of 299 students and 90 teachers participated. The Situational Scale for Attention to Diversity and Educational Inclusion (ESADIE) and the Questionnaire on Teaching Competencies for Attention to Diversity and Educational Inclusion (C2DADEI) were used. Among the relevant results, a significant gap in the perception of diversity in the classroom between students and teachers was revealed. Among the most frequent diversities are ethnicity and gender, but the perception of disability is non-existent among students. On the other hand, despite the policies structured by the institution, the practical application of inclusion is limited and improvised. It is concluded that there is a marked disparity in the perception of diversity, which requires the development of strategies and mechanisms for training and awareness-raising for the entire university community. Currently, reality shows are characterized by presenting unscripted, real-life situations with spontaneous interactions, which has increased their influence, especially among young people. This phenomenon has intensified due to the progressive consumption of digital and television media, broadening the influence of these programs on perceptions of reality and social interactions. The content of these shows, which focuses on conflicts and extreme behaviors, can modify practices, attitudes, and values, altering interpersonal relationships and student behavior in both academic and social settings. The methodology applied in this study is a mixed approach, combining student surveys to evaluate the program's consumption and its impact on social interactions, along with interviews with academic experts to delve deeper into the educational and social implications. The results obtained directly respond to the research question, highlighting the negative impact on university students' social behavior.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. It aims to determine the influence of support networks on women victims of gender-based violence treated at the Violeta "Feminist Action" Center in the city of Loja. A mixed methodology was applied for this purpose, using a descriptive approach and a cross-sectional design. At the Violeta Comprehensive Care Center "Acción Feminista," 30 clients and a social worker participated. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support was used, and a checklist was implemented to identify the different forms of violence. Symbolic, political, gynecological-obstetric, and psychological violence was detected. Individual attitudes clearly included justifying and minimizing violence. Regarding family influences, a history of domestic violence (physical, psychological, or verbal) or having witnessed violence in childhood was noted. Regarding support networks, the women reported a low level of support, with their peer group being the most prominent. The importance of social work, which implements care protocols and organizes support groups, is highlighted. In conclusion, the need to strengthen both formal and informal networks, promote awareness campaigns, and advocate for public policies that guarantee comprehensive and continuous care for victims is emphasized.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. The study is based on the need to promote audience development and cultural participation through creative community processes. The main objective was to identify the impact of art on the emotional, cognitive, and social development of participants through muralism and painting workshops. A mixed-methods approach with a quasi-experimental design was used, including pre- and post-workshop surveys to assess changes in participants’ perception of art, its social role, and its value as a transformative experience. Results showed enhanced self-awareness, introspection, and self-confidence among participants, as well as a deeper appreciation of art as a medium for expression and social cohesion. Muralism encouraged reflection on identity and community, while painting stimulated both individual and collective creativity. It is concluded that the workshops fulfilled the research objective by establishing art as an agent of cultural and educational change. This study provides relevant evidence about the role of art in community contexts and suggests new directions for pedagogical application and research in outreach projects
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora. The research highlights the importance of the family environment as a protective factor against the consumption of harmful substances, significantly reducing the risk, especially support and communication within the family nucleus. The main objective of the research is to analyze family ties and their impact on the prevention of addictions in adolescents from Sauces 9. The methodology used was characterized by a quantitative approach, a type of exploratory-synthetic research and as research techniques, surveys were applied to adolescents to evaluate the type of family ties and their influence on the level of risk of substance consumption. As results, it is observed that only 68% of adolescents’ homes practice conversations that strengthen understanding and empathy, with the aim of preventing risks of substance use. Only 55% claimed to have a type of open communication and finally 64% stated that they share quality time with their family as opposed to 36% who did not. In conclusion, family ties are essential in the lives of adolescents since, in addition to providing an environment of support, guidance and emotional containment, they are a key protective factor against the risk of drug use
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica y Arbitrada de Ciencias Sociales y Trabajo Social: Tejedora.
