The documentary treatment fulfills a specific role in the organization, it greatly influences the proper development of the functions performed in each area, for this reason the archives are an important administrative support for the management in the institutions, whether public or private. In companies, this has always been presented as a great problem of conceptual and methodological approach, which causes great consequences for retrieving information in some cases. The logical-inductive method was used. It is a field and explorative investigation. 27 CNEL Manabí users were surveyed. It is concluded that in the CNEL company the current processes are carried out manually, which makes it difficult for the work to be executed more quickly and efficiently, the information is managed through the inspection sheets that are filled out by hand, then the information of these logs is passed to Excel.
