Abstract

This research is based on two postulates of popular education such as the critical and emancipatory positioning, and also from the Hip Hop culture, is ongoing with the group "Rapsiquis" belonging to the Libertadores neighborhood in the town of San Cristóbal linked to the Hip Hop culture in Bogota, guided by a methodology based on the socio-critical paradigm linking two postulates such as emancipation and the critical positioning of popular education and seeking to generate a social transformation by the hand of artistic expressions of the Hip Hop culture, this paradigm knows and understands reality as praxis, unites theory and practice, which allows us to interpret and make known the observable behaviors that are obtained from representative groups of culture using techniques typical of ethnography. Based on this research we want to analyze the role of the social worker and the intervention processes that he develops through the postulates of popular education, It is also important to explore the different processes of social transformation that can be achieved in the popular classes through artistic expressions, combined with a form of alternative education that fragments traditional learning methods. “The political work of thinking and acting in society brings with it a reflection toward the search for decolonial thinking, an aspect that leads to thinking and doing other forms of education, based on the emergence of the new, of change.” (Pino, 2016, p.12).
