Abstract

It is desired to analyze certain main processes such as: student enrollment, creation and resolution of questionnaires, of an Educational Unit in order to understand its real performance through Process Mining. Method: It began with the extraction of the records from the Moodle server of the Educational Unit, in turn proposing the phases of the KDD methodology, then the study of the four forces called: form, generalization, precision and simplicity, with the use of the detailed control of the Discovery tool, essential to establish the percentage of the activities and routes suitable for a specific analysis of the activities. After applying the methodology and the four forces, the inconsistencies of each process were identified. Results: the results indicated that in the enrollment process there are inconsistencies in the activities of: assigned role, user enrolled in course and unassigned role, in the process of creating questionnaires there are inconsistencies in the activities page of visualized edition of the questionnaire, course seen and preview of the attempt started, and in resolution of questionnaires inconsistencies in the activities of the submitted attempt. Conclusions: It was concluded that it is important to apply Process Mining in records of academic processes and present their true performance in the real map of them.
