Abstract

Technological changes, such as digitalization and automation, are transforming traditional industries and creating new job opportunities. Therefore, it is essential that ULEAM and other educational institutions consider the integration of technology-related disciplines, such as computer science and engineering, into their academic offerings. Furthermore, the promotion of programs focused on environmental conservation and sustainable tourism is vital, given the tourism potential of the province of Manabí. Education in these fields can contribute to the preservation of natural resources and local economic development. This not only benefits individuals by providing them with up-to-date skills, but also drives economic growth, generates greater employment opportunities, and brings well-being to the community.
