The action of the third sector and social work in the face of social welfare policies

The following article aimed to determine the action of the Third Sector, as well as Social Work and its integral influence on social welfare policies in the city of Loja. Within the research, three social organizations belonging to the third sector in the city of Loja were investigated: Foundation for Business and Social Development, Ecuadorian Support Center and Social Investigations Center of Loja city (FEDES, CAJE Y CISOL), and people from the civil society, to delimit if they know said sector and its role, with the implementation of the scientific and analytical methods, since it allowed the researcher of the problem, object of study, to know, analyze and systematize, through a dialogue, scientific and proven aspects related to the problematic that represents being the little support by the State, and the ignorance of society in general of the role of this sector, which resulted in the evidence of the action that the third sector fulfills in the construction of a responsible citizenship and concluding that the third sector creates a new space for political participation, social welfare and even collective actions, becoming another actor in our social scenario with voice, with vote, which is in powerful growth and development, so it represents another producer of social welfare.
