The family core becomes influential in the development of skills, given that the family is the first organ and system with which children and adolescents socialize. In addition, family dynamics provide socializing tools to beneficiaries that will be needed throughout life in society. Social skills are developed in early childhood in relation to the parameters of parenting; according to the development of their skills the child may develop in the different environments in which he or she can integrate. The problem that this research focused on is the influence that family dynamics have on the social skills of children and adolescents who attend the Jesus Niño dining room in the SANTA FE neighborhood, this was worked from the qualitative approach of a descriptive type, since it allowed to observe the family dynamics of children and adolescents and from the hermeneutical paradigm the interpretation of the social phenomenon was obtained from the perspective of the participants. From the three categories worked it was possible to identify that the family ties presented by participants within family dynamics are not built together and their coexistence is distant. In the processes of interaction and communication it was found that the patterns of upbringing are in the majority mediated by punishment (coup), communication also conflicts to relationships that weave within the family nucleus.
