Open Access Statement

The University Editorial of the Lay University Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, seeks to contribute and reduce the distance between industrialized countries and those that are in the process of development. To this end, it has decided to go further in terms of knowledge sharing, promoting the Open Access Initiative and adopting a new open access policy for our publications.

Adopting an open access policy means for the University Publishing House of the Laica Eloy Alfaro University in Manabí, opening the doors to thousands of publications and making them available to a much wider audience. Also, open access is a new way of offering a transparent perspective of the work that the Scientific and Arbitrated Journal of Social Sciences and Social Work: Weaver carries out and that, from now on, everyone can discover and share.

According to UNESCO (2013), “in order for knowledge to continue developing, people need to have access to the relevant sources. But without diffusion, said knowledge remains invisible, limiting people's creativity. ”

The Scientific and Arbitrated Journal of Social Sciences and Social Work: Weaver, provides immediate free access to its content, under the principle of making theoretical research and reflection freely available to the public, thus favoring the exchange of knowledge to through the magazine.

* The magazine allows self-archiving of published articles, in institutional repositories, thematic and personal websites for non-profit purposes, as long as it is not mutilated, the full source and its email address are cited. Otherwise, it requires prior written permission from the institution.
