The objective of this study is to determine a methodology for artistic interpretation of ancestral objects to obtain contemporary expressions capable of becoming artistic works. For this, a descriptive quantitative methodology has been used through non-probabilistic sampling of a homogeneous population by defining variables and surveys in networks through eForms. The results of the surveys show that the exchange of values in the interpretation of ancestral objects is found in the description of the same in 57%; that in order to make sense of the interpreted object, it must be analyzed at 59%; and that to achieve a reunification of the other or the creator of the ancestral object, an analysis with the 39% is required. As conclusions, four moments of methodological interpretation are established that have to do with the description, analysis, reflection and understanding of the ancestral object
