Unlike Applied Psychology, Psychology in general does not necessarily deal with intervention, but rather studies mental processes and behavior. The need to carry out this research is based on the existing problem of different psychological discomforts present in people, together with the difficulty of professional assistance in the field of Psychology that results in people with imbalance in their health in general, taking into account that the individual is a bio-psycho-social entity and the alteration of any of his environments in which he develops is manifested in alterations in his mental health. Through the literature review, a general appreciation of mental health can be obtained, thus contributing with information that may be useful for research purposes.
