Efectividad de la TCC en adultos con trastornos por consumo de sustancias: Revisión sistemática

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la efectividad de la Terapia Cognitivo – Conductual en el tratamiento de trastornos por consumo de sustancias en adultos. Los resultaron fueron obtenidos mediante una búsqueda exhaustiva en las bases de datos PubMed/MEDLINE y Scopus, aplicando criterios tanto de inclusión como de exclusión rigurosos (ensayos controlados aleatorios y cuasiexperimentales publicados en los últimos cinco años). Los hallazgos principales de los estudios analizados resaltan que la TCC denota su notable eficacia en el tratamiento de estos trastornos en modalidades individuales, grupales, entornos ambulatorios y hospitalarios. Se identificó que, contribuye de manera significativa a la reducción de los síntomas de abstinencia, mejora de habilidades de afrontamiento y, lo más importante, disminuye la tasa de recaídas; resultados que consolidan a la TCC como un enfoque terapéutico preciso y adaptable para la población adulta con trastornos por consumo de sustancias.
