Synergy between the Business Administration career Uleam and the business sector

Abstract

Strategic alliances between the business sector and the business administration program are fundamental to strengthening the curriculum through shared lectures, consulting, joint research and development projects, internships, mentoring for the development of entrepreneurial skills, access to resources and new markets with a strategic focus and vision, such as the need to be immersed in digital platforms and to know the highly competitive industries that are in our province, as well as the management of intellectual property for mutual benefit and growth. Therefore, the objective was set to know the level of interest of the business sector as a strategic partner with the Business Administration program at Uleam, allowing a permanent relationship towards the development of skills for optimal professional performance. In this research, the theoretical level was applied using analytical and synthetic methods, focusing on the importance of alliances with the business sector in the initial training of university students. The empirical level was addressed through a quantitative and descriptive approach, using a survey administered to nineteen companies with twelve variables to determine the level of commitment between the two, focusing on the relevance of higher education. Among the most relevant findings are the significant interest in participating in business and entrepreneurship networking, jointly conducting applied research during the degree process, and publishing scientific work that extends to the registration of intellectual property, generating a significant impact on the development of innovation and research. Likewise, business advising demonstrates a favorable environment for entrepreneurial students, who show interest in resources for international internships and pre-professional placements, as well as interest in signing specific agreements with the Faculty of Administrative, Accounting, and Commercial Sciences.
