Abstract

Currently, a large part of the municipalities of the country develop solid waste management activities without having the basic information that is the generation of solid waste and its characterization, which is reflected in the quality of the service and often in improvisation. of technologies that propose solving the management of solid waste from its generation to its final disposal. This study will allow to guide the officials of the Parish GAD of San Lorenzo responsibly manage the integral management of solid waste in their jurisdiction, so that they are able to: reduce the amount of waste and manage its management by direct administration or via third parties. Finally, the study will give us the results of the generation of solid waste per inhabitant per day (GPC), data that allows us to have a quick view of the amount of solid waste generated in the parish depending on the number of inhabitants ; density, an important data used in the sizing of the various storage, transport and final disposal systems; the composition by type of waste, which will allow us to recommend various types of intervention such as recycling for recycling for inorganic material and composting for organic matter.
