The role of the academy in society in times of social distancing by COVID-19

The academy must remain firm with its role with society in the face of times of social distancing, this may even imply with the situation experienced with the health emergency COVID-19; However, for this it is important to analyze the applicable educational strategies, the use of cyberspace being one of them, with applications such as WhatsApp, Teams or Zoom, which facilitate interaction between the subjects of the educational process: parents, teachers and students. Therefore, a theoretical tour is carried out on the existing studies that contribute to distance education, added to the conception of education in times of social distancing, in order to revalue the axes of action of the academy: teaching management, linking with the community and qualification for and with society.
