Abstract

Public spaces in the city of Manta have emerged as remnant spaces, this main generates dissatisfaction in the different inhabitants around the avenues of November 4 and 113, having to satisfy their social and recreational needs in non-inclusive public areas limited by architectural barriers. In addition, there is a deficit of green areas per inhabitants, which generates open spaces exposed to solar radiation and its negative effects. As an effect this has XXII generated that the inhabitants of the “Villas del Seguro” citadel and the surrounding neighborhoods maintain spatial de-connectivity. The following research aims to design a public space for the urban integration of the different inhabitants surrounding the “Villas del Seguro” citadel. It is also focused on reducing the deficit of space and green areas per inhabitant through spatial flexibility as responses to new urbanism. For this it is important to use research methods, compilation of bibliographic information that help to analyze, synthesize and specify a correct diagnosis focused on sustainable development.
