The article addresses the importance of planning and design of sustainable and efficient urban environments, focusing on the implementation of indicators of sustainable cities and smart communities. The research focuses on the analysis and planning of a smart campus for the extension of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí in Chone, using a multidisciplinary approach, theoretical and technical bases. The objective of the research is to plan a smart campus for the Chone extension, based on the indicators of sustainable cities and communities, to improve the quality of life of the university community and its environment.
