"The high and rapid population growth increases product consumption, leading to waste generation, environmental discomfort, and social concern due to their negative impacts. This issue prompts industries to seek solutions, with reverse logistics being one of the most prominent in recent years. This research, based on a study of existing literature, analyzes the variables necessary for implementing a reverse logistics program in SMEs, using an Analytic Network Process (ANP) model as a multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) method and the 'Super Decisions V3.2' software. The results showed a deficiency in reverse logistics management by SMEs, with the best alternative being the hiring of a specialized company in this type of services."
